EV bikes are marketed as low-maintenance, but are they really? People say servicing costs are minimal, yet somehow, you still end up spending โน1,000 to โน2,000. And then comes the big one, battery replacement after four to five years, which can cost a huge amount. Most customers buy EV bikes on EMI, so by the time the loan is over, they might have to spend a lump sum on a new battery. That could be a major challenge unless battery prices drop further.
