This is why I hate working in modern offices with those awful drop ceilings. Every time I look up, I feel like my thoughts are being compressed by those fluorescent-lit tiles. I do my best creative work in coffee shops with high ceilings or outdoors. My company recently moved to a renovated industrial space with 20-foot ceilings and skylights, and team creativity metrics have genuinely improved. Physical environment matters more than most people realize.
