The Indian and American education systems (or British,Japanese etc..) are similar. They focus on theoretical knowledge and exams, but somehow the USA is better than India, let me tell you one example. If you are passionate about computer science, and actually you have made some cool projects, but you won't have IITs, you need to crack JEE with top ranks. But in the USA, you can get admission into Standford, MITs if you can see how passionate you are (of course your academics and SAT/ACT scores matters a lot). So the USA gives admission based on holistic development, from academics to sports. But in India, you need to crack a university level exam to get into a UG programme. Second, the USA focus on practical application over making theoretical geniuses. and US education has a chill Environment, on the other hand, we Indians study so hard. if you ask me, do I like US education system? I would say "NO".
