We celebrated Women's day just yesterday! It's not amusing to see how biased and insensitive some comments are on women and them leaving the workforce for childcare. Especially those that come from men who have absolutely nothing to do with childcare. A recent report published states that Indian Men spends 15 mins on an average in childcare (same as global average) whereas Indian women spend 70 mins (however, from my personal experience it is much more than that) which is almost twice the global average for women. Now, I do not want to get reasons behind this but as entrepreneurs we wanted to address this in a much simpler manner. Sangeeta and I launched doodledry with the philosophy of making "Parenting Effortless". Women spend a whole lot of time in the laundry for their babies. Our first product Doodledry Baby wear comes with water repellent technology (natural and safe for babies) which reduces the burden to a certain extent. With hundreds of parents we have spoken to till now have appreciated our effort in this direction! Help us garner more support by voting for us in the Startup showcase.
