Epirus Secures $250 Million to Enhance Anti-Drone Defense Systems Defense technology startup Epirus has raised $250 million in a Series D funding round to scale up production of its anti-drone weapons. This funding surge aligns with increased demand for defense technology following global security concerns. Notably, Epirus secured a $66 million contract in 2023 to supply its Leonidas product to the U.S. Army. The latest investment, co-led by 8VC and Washington Harbour Partners LP, with participation from General Dynamics Land Systems, will enable Epirus to broaden its market reach, reinforce its supply chain, expand its workforce, and establish a new simulation center in Oklahoma. This facility aims to train soldiers in counter-drone warfare, addressing the evolving challenges in modern combat scenarios.
