Indiaโs cities see an influx of migrant workers, laborers, and homeless individuals who come to work but often lack affordable housing. Many end up sleeping on roads, footpaths, railway stations, or bus stands, which is unsafe, unhygienic, and inhumane. To address this, we propose a Doree Matary (Dormitory Shelter)โa low-cost sleeping space where individuals can book a bed for just โน10 per night. The facility will provide basic sleeping arrangements and operate on an offline booking system to ensure accessibility for those without smartphones. This project aims to reduce homelessness, provide dignity, and improve living conditions for daily wage earners, rickshaw pullers, construction workers, and others who cannot afford regular housing. With strong partnerships, NGO support, and government backing, this model can be scaled nationwide, ensuring that no one has to sleep on the streets due to financial constraints.
