It's "insidious" (gradually harmful in a way that's not immediately obvious) because: - The consequences of inaction aren't immediately visible - It's easy to rationalize delay ("I'll do it later") - The cost of missed opportunities compounds over time - We rarely recognize or feel accountable for the things we didn't do
