David Karp, born in 1986 in New York City, is an American entrepreneur best known for founding Tumblr in 2007. WikiLeaks gained global attention in 2010 for publishing classified U.S. documents, sparking both praise for transparency and criticism for endangering security. Assange was arrested in 2019 after spending seven years in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition.
