India’s Digital Future vs. Ground Reality: A Personal Experience We often hear about India's digital revolution, but does it truly reflect in our daily lives? My recent experience says otherwise. I visited an Aadhaar center in Bhuna, Fatehabad, to update my photo—a simple task that turned into hours of waiting. The sight was frustrating. Dozens of people, including elderly citizens, stood in long queues for 2-3 hours in an overcrowded room with slow-moving processes. Efficiency was nowhere to be seen. For a country aiming to lead in digital transformation, why are such basic services still stuck in outdated, manual workflows? Where is the real progress? With AI and automation advancing, shouldn’t identity updates be seamless and accessible online? Instead, we are forced to endure unnecessary delays. Digital India cannot be just a slogan. We need execution—better infrastructure, efficient e-governance, and truly user-friendly digital public services.
