Elon and Mark's Feud Summurized 2016: A SpaceX rocket carrying Facebook's satellite (meant to provide internet in Africa) burst. Mark posted on Facebook expressing his disappointment about it and Elon didn't replied anything. Then, Two years later, Elon casually replied to another user, saying, "Yeah, my fault for being an idiot. We did give them a free launch to make up for it and I think they had some insurance." 2017: When asked about his thoughts on Elon’s anxieties about AI, Mark said he was very optimistic about it. Elon responded, "I've talked to Mark about this. His understanding of the subject is limited." 2018: As #DeleteFacebook was trending, Elon tweeted, "What's Facebook?" and later deleted both SpaceX's and Tesla's Facebook accounts. 2023: Elon tweeted that "Instagram makes people depressed" and a few months later said, "WhatsApp cannot be trusted" (hinting its $14 billion acquisition). Also later that same year, Elon challenged Mark to a cage fight, and Mark accepted by posting on his Instagram story, "Send me location." Same year, Meta Lauched Threads which was a direct competition to Twitter, but after the initial hype, it kinda died.. In the end, as you know no cage fight happened, but both of them gained immense reach because of this.
