I believe rewarding myself makes me work harder and better. I follow a simple rule, I’ve set a base limit of my fixed expenses anything I make over that gets split 50-50 between my lifestyle and my savings. This way my lifestyle and my savings grow together. I find killing your desires till you’re 40 to maximize your savings a bit extreme.
