For a few cycles the budget didn’t really do so much. But, this one had some big steps. My 5 takeaways if you’re a startup 1) no income tax for 12.5 L pa and below. That’s 90% of india. The middle class is the big winner here. More money going into consumption unleashing animal spirits of the economy 2) 10,000 Cr FOF for startups. The day we’ll have our own Temasek and GIC isn’t so far 3) BIS is real. Toys need to become indigenous. One more step in the right direction 4) education in AI and a govt funded centre for execellence 5) India post opening up for Ecommerce. They have the most reach. They’ve tried in the past but hopefully this is the year I liked this budget because it took some action. You?
