Most AI startups today are just wrappers around OpenAI APIs. The ones who survive will evolve into vertical SaaS companies with AI at the core. AI agents alone don’t have a strong business model yet.

SaaS isn’t going anywhere, but AI agents are literally eating SaaS from within. The whole idea of SaaS is UI-driven workflows, and AI is replacing that with natural language commands. Why would I use a SaaS dashboard when I can just tell my AI agent to do it?
