The A.I rat race has begun 🏁

Real win would be if they evolve and merge capabilities but anywho, since this deepseek thing came into existence, a new model of openAI became free to use for users so... whatever happens, it is a net positive for the consumer

So? What to use now? Should we switch to DeepSeek then?

ChatGPT vs. DeepSeek is like comparing apples to oranges, wpn't be a fair comparison

Deepseek is really good with responses and i kinda liked the reasoning and responses of deepseek

I guess Google will ban it. it won't appear in the search page. and I guess India too will ban it. You can't trust China with any data.

Deepseek keeps me way more engaged, not a brownie point, but it’s more fun to use

If DeepSeek is truly next-gen, OpenAI might just license it or acquire it. The real future could be a ChatGPT x DeepSeek hybrid.

Let’s say DeepSeek really is revolutionary—what’s stopping OpenAI from integrating the same capabilities into ChatGPT? They already added browsing, DALL·E, and even voice capabilities. If DeepSeek is better, OpenAI will just adapt and crush them.

If you need live stock prices, breaking news, or updated facts, DeepSeek seems promising. ChatGPT, on the other hand, still relies on training data and periodic updates (unless connected to the web). So, in a fact-heavy world, DeepSeek has an advantage.

ChatGPT has a massive user base, a developer ecosystem, and OpenAI is backed by Microsoft. No matter how good DeepSeek is, breaking into this space now is nearly impossible. Remember Perplexity? Claude? Even Google's Gemini? None of them dethroned ChatGPT.
