I am a 2nd-year B.Tech CSE student, and I recently attended an E-Summit at IIT Kanpur, which had three business-related events. The competition primarily included MBA graduates from various parts of the country. Despite our enthusiasm for business, my team and I lost in all three events because we lacked formal business knowledge and familiarity with the terminology they used effortlessly. This experience made me realize that passion alone is not enough; we need to bridge the knowledge gap to compete effectively. I aspire to start a basic business during my bachelor's and participate in such summits with confidence. How much business knowledge, including essential concepts and terms, should I acquire to stand on equal footing with these seasoned competitors?
