I have a business idea that my boss liked, and they’re ready to invest in my project. However, they proposed an equity split of 70-30, where they get 70%, and I get 30%. I absolutely don’t want anyone else to work on my idea or to have a smaller share of equity in my own project. Can anyone suggest what I should do?

If the deal seems unfair now, think about how much influence and decision-making power you’ll have later. If it feels like you’ll lose control of your vision, it might be worth walking away and building independently
