As a student you feel that your idea is very precious and it can be stolen but that is almost never the case. Do you know that a good product team test around 10 ideas a week, it means that google alone is testing 20k+ ideas every year. Imagine no of companies now. Remember they are not only thinking ideas they are also testing them. Also the first step to validate your idea is to tell as many people as you can. No dms just be open and ask for feedback. This is what idea showcase feature here is about. Also remember asking for feedback from people who will never use my product is like asking your neighbour when to sleep? It does not make sense. Instead identify who you are building for and meet those people physically or virtually to ask for their feedback and understand them and their problem better. I will just say that focus on your target audience and on their feedback.
