TikTok was banned in India in 2020.
After five years, TikTok is facing a ban in the USA.
Starting this Sunday, TikTok will shut down in the USA.
Since tiktok is getting banned in US, tiktok users have started shifting to another similar Chinese platform called Rednote but this poses a similar threat of data security.

TIL, Tiktok has its own Instagram like app in the US. Just found it through app store trending on No 1 today.
It is also a backup plan, just in-case Tiktok gets banned in US which is likely to happen. Thats why reason why they are no 1 right now and
