What this means? ✅ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞: By developing a 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞 for the Indian population, it will enable 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞—healthcare tailored to an individual. ✅ 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲: It is uncovering rare genetic variations unique to our population, helping us understand disease predispositions and responses to treatments. ✅ 𝐀 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡: With sequencing of 10,074 genomes completed, the project is creating a 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤 and a vast dataset for researchers. ✅ 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: The project is working on designing 𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 for disease-specific diagnostics.
