if you observe, the less hours you work, the more you get paid (kinda), but the higher cost of living in the countries makes the net gain null.

Key observation: Countries with strongest labor unions (Scandinavia, Germany, Netherlands) have shortest hours AND highest wages. This isn't coincidence - it's organized labor power.
