ofc not, everyone will focus on how can they fake there income infront on gov or otherwise shift to a better country which has less tax and better infrastructure. gov can reduce tax so people don't try to hide there income, in long term this can really change mindset of people and more taxes would be collected.

You know, I’ve been looking at the recent records too, and you’re absolutely right. The Indian government has enough reserves, yet they’re still pushing high taxes. It feels unnecessary and counterproductive. Instead of overburdening people, why not focus on using the existing funds more efficiently? Charging excessively isn’t helping anyone in the long run. What’s your take on this?

Unless or until per capita increases, there is no use, and they will start migrating to other less tax countries, I guess.
