Two major updates from Bengal Railway Manufacturing Industry: Kolkata based Braithwaite Co Ltd is eyeing a ₹2000 Cr turnover by FY26 with rising demand of bogies and wagons They are investing 10 Cr in expanding the capacity of their Champdani plant from 250 to 450 bogies/month. Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd is planning to operationalise its JV with Czech company Nymwag at Sodepur (N24 Pgns) by 2nd Half of 2025. The plant will make freight wagons and railway componentsfreight wagons and railway components This is a major FDI in Railway Engg space.
