𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗬: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 Government of West Bengal expects investments around ₹27,000 crore and the ability to generate 75,000 new white-collar job opportunities through Bengal Silicon Valley (BSV). Urging industrialists to invest in the state, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee assured them of complete support from the government. The futuristic tech hub in New Town aims to bring back the brains and attract investment and talent in the state. In total, over 40 companies were provided land. 28 companies have already started construction work. As of now, 19 companies, including Reliance, Nxtra by Airtel, and Japanese data centre major NTT, have started construction of their facilities at the tech hub. In total, 11 data centres are coming up in BSV. Data centres of NTT and ST Telemedia, among others, are expected to commence operations by August 2025.
