Why do Reddit, Quora, Substack, Clubhouse, Medium and many more such apps list themselves in the News Category? Is it because it’s a relatively easier category to be on top or a category that has more impressions?

These aren't news apps, they're social networks trying to game the system. The Washington Post and Reuters are news apps. Reddit is literally called "the front page of the internet" not "the newspaper of the internet." App Store should enforce stricter category guidelines.
