Visteon Corporation, a global leader in automotive cockpit electronics & connected car solutions based out of the US, has inaugurated its new Global Capability Centre in Kolkata. Set to commence operations in Jan 2025,the facility reaffirms Visteon’s strategic focus on India as a hub for cuttingedge automotive technology development. Strategically located, Kolkata’s strong talent ecosystem and proximity to top engineering colleges make it an ideal hub for advanced software & technology development. The centre will initially seat 300 engineers by the end of 26,with plans to scale up to over 500 engineers in the next 2 to 3 years. It will specialise in Android-based infotainment,autonomous vehicle solutions, cybersecurity,multimedia & remote projection & cloud technologies, establishing itself as a Centre of Excellence exclusively focusing on Android-based infotainment and cockpit software development.
