"ITC Invests ₹111 Crore in EIH and Leela Mumbai Ahead of Hotel Demerger" "ITC Acquires Stakes in EIH and Leela Mumbai Worth ₹111 Crore Before Hotel Demerger" ITC Ltd Consolidates Stakes in Oberoi and Leela Ahead of Hotel Business Demerger ITC Ltd, which plans to demerge its hotel business by January 2025, announced on Wednesday the acquisition of additional stakes in rival hospitality brands Oberoi and Leela. The acquisition was made through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Russell Credit Ltd (RCL). According to the regulatory filing, ITC acquired 2.44% of the share capital (equivalent to 1.52 crore equity shares of ₹2 each) of EIH Ltd and 0.53% of the share capital (equivalent to 34.60 lakh equity shares of ₹2 each) of HLV Ltd (formerly Hotel Leela Venture). With this move, ITC now holds 16.13% of EIH's paid-up share capital and 8.11% of HLV's paid-up share capital.
