𝗕𝗖𝗟 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 ₹𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹. Renewable energy player BCL Industries is setting up a bioenergy plant in West Bengal with an investment of ₹150 crore. The company has already received an environmental clearance for its 75 KLPD (kilo litres per day) plant coming up in Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipur. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. The company aims to advance ethanol production as a sustainable fuel source blended with petrol to reduce carbon emissions. It is also setting up similar plants in Punjab and Haryana.
