𝗖𝗠 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗷𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗗𝗖 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to inaugurate Infosys’ new campus in Kolkata’s New Town on Wednesday. The IT giant, which began operations at the 17.5-acre facility earlier this year, plans to gradually scale up its activities at the site. Infosys owns a total of 50 acres of land in New Town and has been actively hiring for the facility. The company has already inducted 2000 employees for the campus and aims to double this figure to 4000 soon. Senior Infosys officials are expected to attend the inauguration. The new software development centre in Kolkata aligns with Infosys’ localisation strategy, which focuses on establishing facilities closer to talent pools across India. Infosys co-founder N. R. Narayana Murthy at an event in Kolkata this week expressed that the City of Joy is the most cultured place in the entire country.
