From 5,127 Failed Prototypes to a $20 Billion Empire! So meet James Dyson, an English engineer who likes Solving everyday problems with innovative engineering. In 1970s, James was frustrated with old vacuum cleaners. Firstly they were very bulky and one had to replace the dust bag every time. Also their efficiency reduced due to clogged bags. Thus bro ended up spending 15 years and making 5,127 patents before inventing a perfect vacuum cleaners which solves all his problems. This VC worked on the principle of cyclonic motion (like a tornado) which pushes the dust and dirt to the sides of the container where they are captured in a bin. And then the clean air is released in the room making it fully efficient even when its fully filled. In 1993, he released his first product called Dyson DC01 and it became a bestseller due to its powerful suction and convenience Today, Dyson is a $20 Billion company with over $8 billion in revenue. They manufacturer vacuum cleaners, Air Purifiers, Lighting and much more goods which are sold in over 70 countries. They have over 15000 patents and spends $10 million a week in R&D. Did you ever used their products?
