I think first we should try to fix what's broken instead of creating a new concept. Just a thought

We have always heard this matra. But then why does giants like Youtube, Insta etc; silently change major components of their UI.
Why change something that the users are soo familiar with? What's the logic?
Does anyone have any advice for a first-time founder? What's pitfalls should we avoid at all costs? Or what decisions should we make as quickly as possible?
