Saw one video in which the guy said that Huge Companies like Amazon often use their network of VCs to fund the potential competitor companies with tens and hundreds of millions. because of this, the VCs get seat in the board and that's how they can deny the company to take certain decision. Then it ends up getting aquired by Amazon, etc.
