It looks like OpenAI is falling back on the traditional model of generating revenue through advertisements.
Perplexity is also experimenting with ads.
I am sure Gemini and other AI agents will follow with something similar in their products.

Jiosphere (a Jio browser) is openly advertising itself as the 0 Ads experience for YouTube, which smells illegal or like they signed a deal with Google to get early users this way.
