This Taiwanese EV scooter brand is revolutionizing transportation! Using an EV vehicle is very beneficial for the world, but it comes with multiple issues as a customer, the number one being battery life! Thus, in 2011, Horace Luke and Matt, two friends from HTC, came together to found Gogoro! Gogoro is a smart EV scooter brand that works on the principle of battery swapping. While battery swapping is a common concept, what's special about them is that their battery-swapping center is basically like a vending machine where any driver just has to insert their old batteries and remove the new ones without any need for an employee. Also, it's very compact and can be set up in many places easily (as seen in the picture). This is the reason why they are constantly growing and have the world's largest battery-swapping network of over 12,000 battery-swapping stations at over 2,500 locations. Their vehicles have a range of 150 km and it's enough considering you can find a swapping station easily. Their scooters start at ₹150,000, and for swapping, you can pay a flat fee (₹25–₹50) per swap or opt for a subscription model for X km per month. They have expanded to over 9 countries, including India, making $350 million in revenue (with a $76 million loss). Would you be using them?
