My Comment: I completely agree with the concerns raised here about the challenges faced by gig workers. These issues have been at the core of my work, and I’ve taken action to address them. I created Pushpaka, an open-source, commission-free ride-booking platform, designed to provide a fair, transparent, and inclusive solution for both gig workers and users. Here’s how I’ve addressed these issues: Fair Wages: Riders keep 100% of their earnings—there are no platform commissions. This isn’t just an app—it’s a step toward creating a people-first gig economy, where the workforce isn’t exploited but respected and empowered.
