I think the right way to convince them would be to sit with them one day and open up to them about your *difficulties*(this is most important). Say that I also wish to take care of you as you age and I really need these opportunities to grow bigger in life. So what if I'm a girl, you guys have always given me the same opportunities to study and grow so I wish to give back to you the same way
