More likely, they were watching it closely. OpenAI’s GPTs became a game changer, and these giants probably realized they had to either collaborate or compete, but they weren’t blind to its potential

if Google makes chatgpt first it would reduce the cash flow they have ... they get money on clicks .. in ads ... why would they destroy all that ? facebook always has been a SOCIAL media company . and the Meta ai . it's not like they are highly interested in making money through that ... isn't it open source ? .. MICROSOFT be like why build when they can buy .. ( I have no clue about Microsoft)

I think google was first in the ai race but don't know what happened they have taken a back step on there ai program but according to some reports they are working on it but as soon as chat gpt gets going they they have fast-paced there ai work

according to me they have future plan's for this but they don't want to implement this with Speed because these AI tools will slow down the revenue from many services like chatGpt is now threat for biggest edtech companies and other industries
