Try starting with kaggle to get a gist of how problems are defined and models are trained. There is a learning section in there providing guides.This worked for me when i started ML but I can't guarantee for every others.If you are really fixated on pursuing then start with python, math, statistics then start with Machine learning. There are plenty of resources on youtube , white papers , and such. The real effort lies on how you make up your path and find resources.
