Naval Ravikant explains why startup founders should be able to code Naval Ravikant gave the following advice to a startup spending $25k outsourcing product development to external developers: "In the world of web and mobile startups, the competition is intense. You should assume that there’s already a small team of highly skilled, hardworking developers (probably a team of 2-4 people) who are totally focused and working around the clock on an idea similar to yours. So, to stay competitive, you need to start building (coding) your product as soon as possible, rather than just planning or discussing it."

I think sometimes founders can get too carried away in the technical aspects, which might distract them from other critical areas like marketing, sales, or customer acquisition. MVP level pe it's okay i think but can't keep coding, it won't build the company. The vision and mission and working towards it will.

You don’t need to be the next Elon Musk or google besties coding in your garage, but knowing a bit of coding could save you from handing over 25k USfrickingD to someone who might not even care about your idea as much as you do and then every iteration will cost more money.
