If you own a website let's say Twiiter.com, and then change your domain to x.com, will the new website's search performance remain same as previous one or you'll have to do all the SEO Things from scratch

No, We should do SEO from scratch. But Elon musk bought both X.com and twitter.com and redirected both domain to same website. In this case, The old SEO efforts in twitter.com shared to X.com. So, Again they don't need to touch seo separately for X.c
