self checkout requires the citizens to be truthful. do you think people in India are going to support the honour system?

This is one thing to consider but think of this way like there are still guards outside of every mart who checks the items and bill. So when someone uses a checkout app they will check the bill and items through that.

ok but I still feel your customer base might be very very limited. decathlon has been trying to train general public around their self checkout system for years and still they have people around to eventually checkout on behalf of customer. supermarkets have much smaller and 100s of more SKUs. you need to factor all this as well.
