His school principal told him he'd either be a millionaire — or end up in prison. Today, he's a billionaire. He launched 400+ companies by doing the opposite of every CEO. His story is absolutely mind blowing... Branson struggled in school due to dyslexia. At 15, Branson dropped out to start a magazine called "Student." But he couldn't afford an office — so instead, he ran the company from a phone booth. Stories like this inspired the name 'Virgin': he was a "virgin" in business. 1984: Branson's in Puerto Rico, flight canceled. Frustrated, he does something crazy: He charters a plane HIMSELF for $2,000. Grabs a blackboard, writes: "Virgin Airways, $39 one way to BVI" The flight sells out — and Virgin Atlantic is born. He simply entered any industry he thought was outdated & shook it up. 1985: Virgin Holidays 1993: Virgin Radio 1999: Virgin Mobile. Virgin isn't another boring business. It's a brand. And that brand is Richard Branson — everywhere, doing everything.
