Running a grocery store is difficult. You have to order goods, deal with numerous suppliers, struggle with credit facilities, and much more. Jumbotail has a solution! Jumbotail, a B2B startup founded by Karthik Venkateswaran, is essentially a marketplace for food and grocery products, catering to grocery stores. It solves a variety of shopkeepers' problems by: 1. Connecting multiple suppliers in one place. 2. Providing shopkeepers with an inventory management system. 3. Offering its own delivery service, which ensures fast and trackable deliveries. 4. Providing a credit facility. 5. Ensuring the delivery of quality products. 6. Notifying shopkeepers about the latest and trendiest products. How it Earns? It earns through commissions made on its marketplace platform, delivery fees, and by offering inventory management tools and credit facilities. Financials: • Used by over 250,000 shopkeepers. • Total GMV is about $282 million. • It has raised a total of $143 million. • It boasts $100 million in sales with a $33 million loss and expects to become EBITDA profitable this year. Competition: Udaan is its main competitor, but while Udaan focuses on multiple categories like fashion, Jumbotail sticks to grocery products. What do you think?
