There was a time, when you dont tag photos in Facebook, Facebook automatically detects and suggests who that person is. Its accuracy and detection was incredible. Facebook has facial scan data of everyone in this world, pretty sure they collected such data from WhatsApp and Instagram as well. They just dont want others to use it anymore, especially with Meta rebranding to privacy safe company
