Reflections on PR Stunts by CEOs I want to share my thoughts on some recent PR stunts that have left me feeling a bit disappointed. Take Deepinder Goyal, for instance, delivering food with his wife in #Zomato uniforms. While I understand the intention to be relatable, ig racing around on a bike for deliveries doesn’t seem like the best way to spend quality time with your partner. There are more meaningful ways to showcase a relationship without turning it into content. Shouldn’t other founders, like the ones at Swiggy, BlinkIt, Ola, BluSmart, Uber and Rapido, also be influenced to adopt similar antics? Imagine Swiggy's founder delivering snacks to his wife during a movie night, Blinkit’s CEO surprising his wife with an 'essentials delivery' on their anniversary, Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal sir, will turn into a taxi driver after a fight with his wife, dropping her back home! While I respect the entrepreneurial spirit, let’s focus on improving conditions for delivery partners instead of these social media stunts. If Deepinder truly wanted to relate to the experiences of delivery partners, he should recognize that no delivery partner brings their wife along for deliveries. In fact, if a delivery partner were to do that, their account could be blocked due to customer complaints! I have great respect for you, Deepinder, as a fellow founder, but this isn’t the most appropriate way to connect with your audience or your partners. Let’s create real impact instead of fleeting content! hashtag#Leadership hashtag#Entrepreneurship hashtag#SocialMedia hashtag#Authenticity hashtag#DeliveryPartners
