It's not useful everytime, like for example, if you are in your 40s, you can't invest in the assets that'll give you returns after 20-30yrs as it'll be very late for you to enjoy. Also, if I need to enjoy the feeling of having something materialistic things and if I don't fulfill that thinking about future, after few years, I'll definitely feel bad for not utilising the chance I had. So, it's better to prioritise things and think for yourself also.
