The Way I See Itย โ€ขย 9m

Indiaโ€™s Semiconductor Revolution: From 1% to Industry Leader While the global semiconductor industry stands at $611 billion, India currently holds only ~1%. However, thatโ€™s about to change. India has 20% of the global semiconductor design talent and a new $12.1 billion research fund under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation to foster tech innovation. On the manufacturing side, Taiwan leads with TSMC, but Indiaโ€™s setting up more units to bridge this gap. Meanwhile, our assembly sector has turned India into the worldโ€™s 2nd largest producer and exporter of mobile phones. Strategic alliances with the US and Singapore are boosting Indiaโ€™s capabilities, and initiatives like the Indian Semiconductor Mission are providing up to 50% cost assistance to manufacturers. With lower labor costs and a strategic location, Indiaโ€™s semiconductor market, valued at $34.4 billion in 2023, is forecasted to hit $100 billion by 2031.
