Am I Getting Dumber ? The question of whether AI will make humans "dumb" or less inclined to think is more nuanced than a simple yes or no. AI can automate tasks, offer solutions, and save time—making life easier. But that doesn't mean we’ll lose our ability to think. In fact, it could push us to think differently. With AI handling repetitive tasks, humans can focus on creative, strategic, and abstract thinking. Case in point: the calculator. When it became mainstream, people feared it would make us worse at math. Instead, it allowed us to focus on solving more complex problems by freeing us from basic arithmetic. AI will only make us "dumb" if we allow it to replace our curiosity and willingness to learn. If we treat it as a tool, it can enhance our thinking, not diminish it.

So I use ChatGpt a lot. I think about a topic, put it into chatgpt, summaries it, use ChatGpt to add more points. I think more about the points enhancing my knowledge in that specific Topic . i have used Ai to add more depth an Story entirely made by me. and then just improve it withy thinking Ai is just a tool. it totally depends on how you use it :)

AI isn’t making us dumb. It’s like having an assistant that handles the grunt work. You just need to make sure you don’t get too comfortable and stop pushing yourself to learn and think

so few days ago samaltman talked about super intelligence, we can easily guess that it will be 100s of times better than AI which will be able to think by itself can do complex calculations within seconds which the current version of AI can't solve and humans also takes some hours ... Not AI but definitely Super intelligence has a potential to make us dumb but the policies made by our govts will also decide
