Interesting move by Zomato and Swiggy! From a strategic perspective, expanding into event businesses seems to align with the growing trend of platforms diversifying to create a full-service ecosystem. With the GenZ hype of stepping out and attending music festivals, the sector has a lot to offer and from the growth perspective, it is a great move in my opinion. The key will be in structuring partnerships and ensuring compliance with new regulations, while also protecting their brand identity. Curious to see how this plays out!
