or wait, was it just because it was the first time so people were taking their time to get used to the upvote process? majority people don't go through the entire list of entries. They just sort it and upvote the top ones along the flow. Something on the lines of google result pages.

When i click on the showcase, I get few random ideas on top, but when I refresh that page I still get those same ideas, you should fix it so that whenever the page I get to see new ideas

Medial - Startup showcases drawbacks (System fault for top 25 upvote ideas -- > VC) I believe that every idea should be treated equally in the start showcase But this upvote system where top 25 most upvoted ideas will be only reviewed by VC is not
