Hi folks! Medial just released a new app update. This post will cover the new features we have built! This release was one of the heaviest in terms of development and we have focused on improving the user experience a lot. List of changes- 1 - Tagging! After a lot of efforts Tagging is finally out. The results will keep getting better with time (Only on Android, iOS coming soon)! 2 - Reply Structure has been made more readable. No more opening new pages to read replies. A lot of replies and conversations will now be available on first thread page itself. 3 - New News UI (Swipe design). You can revert to original design with the button on right top of the screen). 4 - Links unfurl in DM’s. 5 - Improved recommendations under posts and news. 6 - Improved search results. We have moved to elastic search. 7 - New users can only upvote an Idea after spending at least a day on the platform (To curb fake upvotes). Thanks to our tech team (ARP, Kaien, Vaibhav, Harsh) for putting in insane amounts of parallel efforts to make this possible! Android update is already available and iOS is rolling out in a week! Let us know in the comments which features you’d like next!

If Android has 70%+ market share, why do most new features still launch on iOS first? Why do companies test their apps and updates on iOS first? Is it about users, revenue, or just perception?

I am working on a startup idea and I know Android development, but most of my users are on iOS. Should I outsource my tech initially?

iOS or Android for Mobile App Development? Choosing between iOS and Android depends on your audience and goals. 🔹 Go Android if you're targeting a broader global market. 🔹 Choose iOS for higher monetization and a more premium user base. For eCom

This sounds weird that Google has all of it's apps on iOS platform app store but apple doesn't even have single app on Android platform play store... & Google maps is #1 in iOS app Store 🤣
